A spoon that has been used in school lunches in Tsubame city of Niigata Prefecture, where the production area of metal and western flatware. This product has been designed with chamfered around the spoon plate for safety of children and students, and reduced to 1.1 oz (32 g), making it easy to hold even for lower elementary schools. The overall size is intended for children and is not especially small, but the width of the plate is narrower and thicker, making it about 20% lighter than a regular meal spoon.
